In the short term, we are focused on advocating for sustainability internally. This includes improving our recyclability streams, expanding office compositing, and company wide volunteering initiatives.
We are looking to make long term strides for a more eco-friendly working environment and to be a better sustainability advocate for our consumers. Better utilizing our rooftop space, reducing food waste, and providing employees with broader learning opportunities will help get our company to a LEED certification in the next 3 to 5 years.
Key sustainability wins for far include composting a total of 600 pounds of food waste in the last year, becoming a Chicago Parks Foundation Green Team, and a recycling center field trip.
